Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship
About the scholarship
Students who are awarded this scholarship will have the tuition fees reduced by 50% for the entirety of their degree program. This applies to both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees undertaken through coursework. The scholarship will remain valid for up to four years of full-time study, or for the duration of the degree program, whichever comes first.
Eligibility
To be considered for the UniSA scholarship, you must meet several eligibility criteria.
- You must be a prospective international student who is eligible to study in Australia.
- You should not have accepted any other scholarship or bursary from UniSA.
- You must also fulfill the standard degree admission requirements for the program you have applied to.
- You must have achieved a high distinction average or equivalent in your previous studies at UniSA.
- Finally, you should meet the minimum English language entry requirements for the degree program you have applied to.
If you meet these eligibility criteria and have submitted your scholarship application form, UniSA will assess your academic degree and notify you of the outcome. In the case that you are eligible but did not provide a completed form, uniSA will still invite you to apply for this scholarship.
Terms and Conditions
- If you are awarded the scholarship, you will need to be enrolled as a full-time student at UniSA’s South Australian campuses.
- To continue receiving the scholarship payments, you must maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 5.0 (or equivalent).
- The scholarship payments will be available for up to four years, subject to you meeting the eligibility criteria.
- In the case that your GPA falls below 5.0, the 50% reduction in tuition fees will not be applied to the next invoice. However, if your GPA returns to 5.0 or more, the reduction will resume and be applied to the next invoice.
- The scholarship payments, which are equal to 50% of your tuition fees, will be provided as a discount on your student contribution invoice at the start of the relevant study period.
- Please note that as a scholarship recipient, you will not be entitled to any credit, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), or Advanced Standing, either at the time of offer or thereafter.
- Finally, please note that the scholarship cannot be deferred.
How to apply
- To apply for the Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship, simply include your completed scholarship application form along with your supporting documents when you submit your application for an eligible study program.
- UniSA will assess your eligibility for the scholarship automatically once you’ve applied. If you meet the eligibility criteria and have submitted the scholarship application form, you’ll be notified of the scholarship outcome together with the assessment of your academic degree. If you’re eligible but haven’t provided the completed form with your UniSA application, you’ll still be invited to apply.

International Merit Scholarship
About the scholarship
Students who are selected as recipients will benefit from a 15% reduction in their tuition fees for the entirety of their chosen degree program.
Eligibility
To be considered for eligibility, you must meet the following requirements:
- be a prospective international student who is eligible to study in Australia,
- not have accepted any other scholarship or bursary from UniSA,
- meet the standard degree admission requirements for your chosen program,
- have achieved a GPA of 5.0 or above in previous studies or have a conditional offer of completion of an award with a Credit score or above.
- meet the minimum English language entry requirements for the degree you are applying for, or have a conditional offer based on meeting those requirements.
- If you apply for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate degree at UniSA, you will be automatically assessed.
Terms and Conditions
- The International Merit Scholarship is available to full-time international students studying at UniSA’s South Australian campuses.
- The scholarship is in the form of a 15% reduction of the student’s tuition fees and is applied at the beginning of each applicable study period.
- Scholarship recipients must maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 4.5 (or equivalent) to continue receiving the scholarship payments. If the recipient’s GPA falls below 4.5, the scholarship reduction will not be applied to the next invoice, but will be recommence if the GPA returns to 4.5 or higher.
- Scholarship recipients are allowed to receive credit/RPL/Advanced Standing, but must have at least two years/72 units of study remaining.
- The scholarship cannot be deferred beyond the commencement date onshore, and if students are studying outside Australia, the scholarship will only be applied once they are able to begin onshore study in Australia, after borders reopen.

BUPA UniSA International Student Grant
About the scholarship
- The BUPA grant is open to full-time undergraduate and postgraduate international students who are internally enrolled in any program at the University of South Australia. Successful applicants will be chosen based on their academic and extracurricular accomplishments and must have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5 or above.
- The scholarship recipients will receive a one-off payment of $2,000
How to apply
Applicants are required to provide a personal written statement (250 words maximum) outlining their academic achievements and extracurricular excellence, explaining how this grant will benefit them and their study.
