New Brisbane Scholarships

About the scholarship

  • This scholarship is to welcome new international students to study at a new Torrens University campus in Brisbane in 2023. 
  • The value of scholarship varies depending on the courses you enroll in.  
  • Study level: This scholarship is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate study levels. 

Eligibility 

  • Academic conditions apply for the Design, Business and Health merit scholarships.  
  • Regional scholarships are provided based on new International student passport. Scholarships valued up to 35% are applicable to new international students from Latin America or European Union. Scholarships valued up to 30% are applicable to new international students from other regions.  
  • Scholarships are not applicable for students studying the Bachelor of Nursing. 
  • You must maintain a full-time study load, 1 EFTSL over a 12-month study period.  
  • Scholarship is applicable on tuition fee only and on first attempt subjects.  
  • Full price is charged on retake subjects if previously failed. Scholarship may not be eligible for any course changes during the duration of study.  
  • Students must display an IELTS (or equivalent) 6.5 overall band above the entry requirements and display a minimum of a credit average in previous studies completed (for undergraduate students this refers to previous high school studies, and for postgraduate students this refers to a previous bachelor degree). 

Offshore online scholarships

About the scholarship

  • Value: up to 30% of total tuition costs for international students who commence their study offshore and online  
  • Conditions: You have to continue studying offshore and online for the whole course. 
  •  Scholarship may not be available for all courses 

Eligibility  

  • To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student studying the entirety of your course overseas.  
  • The scholarship only applies to tuition fees and covers subjects that you attempt for the first time. If you need to retake a subject that you have previously failed, you will be charged the full price. 
  • If you change courses during your studies, you may not be eligible for the scholarship. Therefore, it’s important to carefully consider your course selection before applying for the scholarship. 

Hospitality Motivational Scholarship

About the scholarship  

  • Value: up to 30% of your total tuition costs 
  • Study level: applicable for new undergraduate and postgraduate students  
  • Courses: this scholarship is applied for Hospitality courses only.  

Eligibility and details  

  • To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student studying the entirety of your course.  
  • The scholarship only applies to tuition fees and covers subjects that you attempt for the first time. If you need to retake a subject that you have previously failed, you will be charged the full price.

Design and Creative Technology Merit Scholarship

  • Study level: applicable for both undergraduate and postgraduate international students 

Eligibility and details  

  • You must maintain a full-time study load, 1 EFTSL over a 12-month study period, to maintain their scholarship.  
  • Scholarship is applicable on tuition fee only and on first attempt subjects. Full price will be charged on retake subjects that you have previously failed. 
  • Scholarship may not be eligible for any course changes during the duration of study.  
  • A credit average from previous academic studies, design work experience and an outstanding portfolio submission will be considered for assessing students for this scholarship. 

Alumni Scholarship

About the scholarship  

  • Value: 25% of your total tuition costs 
  • Applicable for international students who have previously studied with Torrens University  
  • Level: applicable for both undergraduate and postgraduate study levels  

Eligibility 

  • You must remain studying full-time  
  • New full-time undergraduate and postgraduate international students who have previously studied at Strategic Education Inc. outside of Australia and New Zealand can be considered for an Alumni Scholarship. 

Business Merit Scholarship

About the scholarship  

  • Value: 25% of your total tuition costs 
  • Study level: applicable for both undergraduate and postgraduate study levels 

Eligibility  

  • You must maintain a full-time study load, 1 EFTSL over a 12-month study period.  
  • Scholarship is applicable on tuition fee only and on first attempt subjects. Full price will be charged on retake subjects if previously failed.  
  • Scholarship may not be eligible for any course changes during the duration of study. 
  •  Undergraduate applicants are required to display a credit average from high school and an IELTS of 6.5 or equivalent. 
  •  Postgraduate applicants are required to display a credit average in their previous degree and have an IELTS of 7.0 or equivalent overall.

About the scholarship  

  • Value: 20% of your total tuition costs 
  • Study level: this scholarship applies for new postgraduate students who study Education Courses at Torrens University 

Eligibility

  • You must maintain a full-time study load, 1 EFTSL over a 12-month study period. 
  • Scholarship is applicable on tuition fee only and on first attempt subjects. Full price will be charged on retake subjects if previously failed.  
  • Scholarship may not be eligible for any course changes during the duration of study. 

Japanese Undergraduate Health Science

About the scholarship  

  • Value: 20% of your total tuition costs 
  • Study level: this scholarship is designed for new international students who (1) study one of our Diploma or Bachelor of Health Science courses at Torrens University, and (2) have a certified passport from Japan.  

Eligibility

  • Applicable to new Japanese applicants only, who will be commencing their studies in 2023. 
  • You must maintain a full-time study load, 1 EFTSL over a 12-month study period. 
  • Scholarship is applicable on tuition fee only and on first attempt subjects. Full price will be charged on retake subjects if previously failed.  
  • Scholarship may not be eligible for any course changes during the duration of study. 

SE NE Asia & Greater China Business & Health Merit Scholarship

About the scholarship  

  • Value: 20% of your total tuition costs 
  • This scholarship is designed for new international students who (1) come from Asia or Greater China and (2) are planning to combine an English language course with one of our Business or Health degrees.  

Eligibility  

  • Regional scholarships are provided based on new international students’ passports. 
  • Undergraduate students need to display a credit average from high school, and postgraduate students need to display a credit average in a previous degree. 
  • You must maintain a full-time study load, 1 EFTSL over a 12-month study period. 
  • The scholarship is applicable on tuition fee only and on first attempt subjects. Full price will be charged on retake subjects if previously failed.  
  • The scholarship may not be eligible for any course changes during the duration of study

Alternative Study Path Scholarship

About the scholarship

  • Value: 15% of your total tuition costs 
  • This scholarship applies for international students in Australia who (1) have completed studies onshore, or (2) are in Australia and in the process of applying for a student visa. 

Eligibility criteria 

  • You may be eligible for this scholarship if you have completed an onshore English language program, Australian Year 12, a vocational program or six months of higher education study (unless a release from your current registered provider is obtained, or you may be in the process of applying for a Student Visa onshore in Australia). 
  • You must maintain a full-time study load, 1 EFTSL over a 12-month study period. 
  • Scholarship is applicable on tuition fee only and on first attempt subjects only. Full price will be charged on retake subjects if previously failed.  
  • Scholarship may not be eligible for any course changes during the duration of study.
