1. SCU International Global Regional Scholarship

About the scholarship  

You can receive a maximum fee reduction of up to $8,000 per year. To maintain this scholarship, you are required to pass all the requirements for the units that you enrolled in.  

It’s important to note that the scholarship payments will be applied per unit, up to the maximum scholarship amount for each scholarship year. 

Eligibility  

To apply for the SCU International Regional Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 

  • Apply for full-time (8 units per year) undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at the Lismore, Coffs Harbour or National Marine Science Centre campus. 
  • Meet the minimum admission requirements of the University, including:  
  •  For undergraduate entry: a qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12 and the required entry grade for the program applied for, and English language skills comparable to Academic IELTS 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5 
  •  For postgraduate entry: a qualification equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree, and English language skills comparable to Academic IELTS 6.5. 
  • Meet the attendance requirements for their program and student visa to remain eligible for the scholarship.

2. Vice Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship

About the scholarship  

This scholarship is open to future international students who exhibit exceptional academic abilities and exceed the entry requirements for their chosen program of study, as well as demonstrate outstanding academic potential. Successful applicants can receive up to $8,000 in fee reduction for their first year of study. For the subsequent years, students must pass all the requirements for enrolled units to maintain this scholarship.  

Eligibility  

To be eligible for the Vice Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship, students must meet the following requirements: 

  • Apply for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at the Gold Coast, Lismore, or Coffs Harbour campus. Applications for pathway programs such as diplomas, graduate certificates, or graduate diplomas will not be considered. 
  • Exceed the minimum admission requirements of the University. A panel will evaluate academic excellence. 
  • For undergraduate entry: hold a qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12 with the required entry grade for the program, and demonstrate English proficiency equivalent to Academic IELTS 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5. 
  • For postgraduate entry: hold a qualification equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree, and demonstrate English proficiency equivalent to Academic IELTS 6.5. 
  • Students must meet the attendance requirements of their program and abide by the student visa conditions to remain eligible for the scholarship. 

3. Vice Chancellor’s International Diversification Scholarship

About the scholarship 

The International Student Scholarship at Southern Cross University aims to recognise and honor the diversity of nationalities represented by international students studying at the university. 

The scholarship offers an $8,000 maximum fee reduction for the first year of study. For subsequent years, recipients must pass all the requirements for the enrolled units to maintain this scholarship.  

Eligibility

To apply for the Vice Chancellor’s International Diversification Scholarship, students must fulfill the following requirements: 

  • Apply for full-time undergraduate or postgraduate coursework studies at the Gold Coast, Lismore or Coffs Harbour campus, completing a minimum of 8 units per year. 
  • Meet the University’s minimum admission entry requirements: 
  • For undergraduate entry: Provide a qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12, meet the required entry grade for the applied program, and demonstrate English language proficiency comparable to Academic IELTS 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5*. 
  • For postgraduate entry: Provide a qualification equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree, and demonstrate English language proficiency comparable to Academic IELTS 6.5*. 
  • Eligible students must fulfill the attendance requirements of their program and student visa conditions.

4. Destination Australia Scholarship

About the scholarship  

The Destination Australia Scholarship offers a value of up to $15,000 per year and is available to onshore international students enrolling as full-time students at the Lismore, Coffs Harbour, or National Marine Science campuses. To retain the scholarship, recipients are required to maintain ongoing residency at one of these campuses.  

Eligibility 

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must: 

Be a new student to SCU 

Enroll as a full-time student at one of the following course:  

  • Diploma of Science – (Marine Systems and Earth and Environmental Systems specialisations ONLY) 
  • Diploma of Engineering – any specialisation 
  • Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) 
  • Bachelor of Nursing 
  • Bachelor of Engineering Systems (Honours) (Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering) 
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy 
  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology 
  • Graduate Diploma of Regenerative Agriculture 
  • Master of Nursing 
  • Live in a regional area for the whole duration of your study

5. The 30th Anniversary Academic Excellence Scholarship

About the scholarship 

The 30th Anniversary Academic Excellence Scholarship at Southern Cross University commemorates the university’s 30 years with a significant scholarship program. This scholarship provides a reduction of up to $15,000 in tuition fees for the first year and a $8000 discount for subsequent years. SCU offers up to 100 places for this scholarship.  

Eligibility  

To be eligible for the 30th Anniversary Academic Excellence Scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions: 

  • You must be new international students enrolling in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree for the Term 3, July 2024 intake at the Gold Coast, Lismore, or Coffs Harbour campuses, with the exception of quota programs such as the Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood, Master of Nursing, and Bachelor of Nursing. 
  • You are required to demonstrate high academic performance exceeding the minimum entry requirements of Southern Cross University.  
  • You must lodge the application between 1st March and 1st May at 12 pm and accept your offer before 31 May 2024

6. The 30th Anniversary Scholarship
