South Asia International Scholarship

About the scholarship

AUT International Scholarship aims to support and attract high-achieving international students who enroll in a full-time program at AUT for the first time.

For eligible undergraduate students, the scholarship will offer a NZ$5,000 for the first year of study.

For eligible postgraduate students, the scholarship will offer a NZ$7,000 for the first year of study. Doctoral programs are excluded from this scholarship scheme.

There will be 5 scholarships for undergraduate students and up to 15 scholarships for postgraduate students.

Eligibility

To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be new and full-fee paying international students.
  • Be a citizen of one of the South Asian countries, including: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Maldives, and Pakistan.
  • Be holding a valid conditional or unconditional offer from AUT.

To be considered for this scholarship, you must complete an application form online through AUT website www.aut.ac.nz/scholarships. You will need to attach the following documents to your application.

Southeast Asia International Scholarship

About the scholarship

AUT International Scholarship aims to support and attract high-achieving international students who enroll in a full-time program at AUT for the first time.

For eligible undergraduate students, the scholarship will offer a NZ$5,000 for the first year of study.

For eligible postgraduate students, the scholarship will offer a NZ$7,000 for the first year of study. Doctoral programs are excluded from this scholarship scheme.

There will be 3 scholarships for undergraduate students and up to 12 scholarships for postgraduate students.

Eligibility

To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be new and full-fee paying international students.
  • Be a citizen of one of the Southeast Asian countries, including: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
  • Be holding a valid conditional or unconditional offer from AUT.

North Asia International Scholarship

About the scholarship

  • Be new and full-fee paying international students.
  • Be a citizen of one of the East Asian countries, including: China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Mongolia, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Republic of Korea.
  • Be holding a valid conditional or unconditional offer from AUT.

New Zealand AUT-NCUK Scholarship

About the scholarship

This scholarship is to attract international students who enrolled in the NCUK New Zealand Global Education Pathway programs and wish to study at AUT. There will be 3 scholarships provided for outstanding students and the value of each scholarship is up to AUD$10,000 towards tuition fees.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, the students must:

  • Have completed or be completing a NCUK program, including International Foundation Year, International Year One, or Pre-Master’s Programme as your most recent qualification.
  • Have a valid letter of offer from AUT.
  • Be a new student at AUT.

Vice-Chancellor’s Doctoral Scholarship

About the scholarship

This scholarship offers an annual stipend of up to NZ$33,000 on top of tuition fees and compulsory student services fees for 3 years.

Eligibility

To be qualified for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be a new doctoral candidate.
  • Receive an unconditional offer for an AUT doctoral program.
  • Obtain a GPA of at least 8.0/10.0 in your most recent qualification completed at a NZ institution.
  • Demonstrate an excellent academic record, strong academic references, and potential for high-quality research.

  • Your academic transcript for the most recent qualification.

AUT Doctoral Scholarship

About the scholarship

This scholarship offers an annual stipend of up to NZ$33,000 on top of tuition fees and compulsory student services fees for 3 years.

Eligibility

To be qualified for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be a new doctoral candidate.
  • Receive an unconditional offer for an AUT doctoral program.
  • Demonstrate an excellent academic record, strong academic references, and potential for high-quality research.
  • Normally achieve a first-class honours degree.

How to apply:

You must complete an application form online through AUT website www.aut.ac.nz/scholarships. There will be 3 rounds per year, open to all eligible applicants. You will need to attach the following documents to your application.

  • Your academic transcript for the most recent qualification.
