ACU International Student Scholarship
About the scholarship
One of the ways ACU supports international students is through the Australian Catholic University International Student Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to exceptional undergraduate and postgraduate international students who have demonstrated outstanding academic merit in their prior studies. The scholarship covers 50% of the full-time fees for the minimum duration of the course, including RPL/Credit.
ACU offers 20 scholarships annually, with 14 awarded in Semester one and six in Semester two. The scholarship provides a valuable opportunity for international students to pursue their academic and career goals at ACU while also experiencing Australian culture and lifestyle.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria by the scholarship application deadline:
- Citizenship: international students
- Course: any ACU coursework degree, except for pathway, Diploma, and Graduate Certificate courses
- Year level: first year (starting a new ACU course in Semester 2, 2023)
- Required study load: full-time
- Must have received an offer for a place in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at ACU, commencing in Semester 2, 2023
- Must have achieved at least 80% in previous studies completed within the last two years (for undergraduate applicants) or four years (for postgraduate applicants), which is equivalent to a GPA of 5.8 on the ACU 7-point scale
- Must be applying for an ACU program that is at the same or higher level of study than their current qualifications
- Must not be receiving any other ACU scholarship or award
- Must not have previously studied at ACU at the same level as their commencing course
- Must not be attending ACU as a Study Abroad or Exchange student.
How to apply
To apply for the Australian Catholic University International Student Scholarship, applicants must provide evidence of academic merit, which shows an achievement of at least 80% (GPA 5.8 on the ACU 7 point scale) across their most recent program of study. Academic records must include original language documents, translations (where applicable), and an official explanation of the grading system.
The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit. The selection committee may also consider the diversity of the source countries of applicants and the courses in which they are enrolled, including a spread of undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs and campuses.
Global Excellence Scholarships
About the scholarship
The Peter Faber Business School strives for academic excellence and sustainability with a global outlook. As part of this commitment, the school offers scholarships of up to AU$5000 per year to students who are starting their studies in business and information technology programs.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Peter Faber Business School scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Citizenship: International students
School: Peter Faber Business School
Course: Business and Information Technology
Campus: All (onshore campuses only, excludes ACU Online)
Year level: First year
Study load: Full-time
The scholarship does not apply to higher degree research or honours programs, or certificates or diplomas.
Must not receive any other scholarship or award if the total combined value exceeds the tuition fee for the course.
Must not be attending ACU as a Study Abroad or Exchange student.
Must commence studies between July 2019 and December 2023.
Must not be in receipt of an Australian Catholic University International Student Scholarship (ISS).
The scholarship cannot be deferred to a subsequent semester.
How to apply
Applicants are not required to submit a separate application for the scholarship. ACU will evaluate their eligibility based on the information provided in their application for admission. Successful scholarship recipients among the commencing students will receive notification from ACU.
