Business Excellence Scholarship

About the Scholarship

A Business Excellence Scholarship valued at NZ$7,000 per year will be awarded to eligible international students who enroll full-time in one of the following programs at Massey Business School:

  • Bachelor of Business
  • Bachelor of Accounting
  • Bachelor of Aviation
  • Bachelor of Aviation Management
  • Bachelor of Communication

There will be up to 20 seats allocated for this scholarship annually at Massey University.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Enroll as a full-time student at Massey Business School for one of the programs listed above.
  • Have obtained an NCEA Level 2 with at least a merit endorsement.
  • Besides academic merit, this scholarship will consider the extracurricular activities that international students participated in during their secondary school. They should have been the leader of a club/group or the captain of a sports team.

How to Apply

You must apply for this scholarship, attaching at least 2 documents:

  • Academic transcripts for your secondary school.
  • A personal statement that states why you are the best fit for this scholarship, including your leadership experience.

MBA awards

About the Scholarship

You will have a chance to receive a scholarship of up to NZ$6,000 when enrolling in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Massey University. Below is what you can receive:

  • Excellence in Scholarship Award: A financial assistance of NZ$2,000 will be offered to those who have obtained at least grade A- in their undergraduate program.
  • Experienced Professional Award: If you have five or more years of work experience (on a full-time basis), you will be considered for an award of NZ$2,000.
  • Masterful Learning Award: If you have already obtained a master’s degree and enrolled in an MBA program at Massey, you may receive an award of NZ$2,000.

Eligibility

All prospective students who enroll in an MBA program can be eligible for this scholarship, regardless of full-time or part-time study basis.

How to Apply

You will be automatically considered for this scholarship. This means that you don’t need to lodge a separate application, and the scholarship committee will determine if you are eligible to receive this scholarship at the time of the admissions process.

This scholarship will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Foundation Peer Scholar Award

About the Scholarship

The Massey University Foundation Peer Scholar Award is to recognize individuals who can become ambassadors or leaders of the Scholar Massey Program. In this role, you will help other peers achieve their personal and professional goals, through which you can also develop skills for yourself. The activities you may need to complete include peer support, leadership training, workshops, seminars, and group discussions. You may need to connect scholarship awardees across Massey University at all study levels and provide students with scholarships consultation and support them with scholarship applications. Financial assistance of up to NZ$6,000 will be given to 12 qualified awardees each year under this scholarship scheme.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Demonstrate high-achieving academic results from previous study.
  • Have received one of the scholarships from Massey University.

  • Resume.
  • A personal statement showing why you wish to become a Peer Scholar and how this scholarship suits you (maximum 1000 words).
  • Academic reference letter.
  • A character reference letter.
