Entry Requirements
English Language Proficiency Requirement:
- For undergraduate programs, you are required to have at least an IELTS overall score of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no band score under 5.5.
- For postgraduate programs, you are required to have at least an IELTS overall score of 6.5 (or equivalent) with no band score under 6.0.
Academic Requirement:
- To enrol in Bachelor programs, you are required to have completed High School qualifications in New Zealand or your home country. The minimum grade required will depend on each study program.
- To enrol in Taught Maters programs, you need to have completed a bachelor degree or postgraduate diploma from New Zealand or an acceptable equivalent oversea qualification.
- To enrol in Research Maters programs, you must have completed a bachelor honours degree or postgraduate diploma from New Zealand or an acceptable equivalent overseas qualification.

Scholarships for International Students
AUT International Scholarships – South Asia
AUT International Scholarship aims to support and attract high-achieving international students who enroll in a full-time program at AUT for the first time. The scholarship will give support of NZ$5,000 for eligible undergraduate students and up to NZ$7,000 for postgraduate students. To be considered for this scholarship, you must be a citizen of South Asia countries, such as Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives
AUT International Scholarships – Southeast Asia
This scholarship is to recognise new and high-achieving students who are from Southeast Asia (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam) and have enrolled as a full-time student in AUT. The qualified undergraduate students will receive a contribution of NZ$5,000 to their undergraduate study while the postgraduate awardees will get up to NZ$7,000 discount to their tuition fee.
AUT International Scholarships – North Asia
AUT International Scholarships – North Asia are designed to support new and high-achieving students coming from North Asia (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Mongolia, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Republic of Korea). Similar to other international scholarships, eligible candidates will receive financial support of NZ 5,000 for their undergraduate, or NZ 7,000 for postgraduate programs. New Zealand AUT-NCUK Scholarships
This scholarship is designed to international students who enolled in the NCUK New Zealand Global Education Pathway Program and wish to study at Auckland University of Technology. A one-off contribution of NZ $10,000 will be given to three outstanding candidates each year. The scholarship committee may take the academic performance, citizenship of origin and the quality of application into consideration when selecting the right awardees for this scholarship.
