ANU Global Diversity Scholarship

About the scholarship  

The Australian National University offers the ANU Global Diversity Scholarship annually, which grants up to 100 awards to students from diverse regions worldwide to enroll in a degree program at ANU. The scholarship is worth $18,750 per annum and is disbursed in two equal installments per semester. The scholarship is renewable for four years, subject to satisfactory academic progress. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for the ANU Global Diversity Scholarship, a prospective student must meet the following criteria: (a) be classified as an overseas student as per the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 and not hold a 995 visa; (b) be a citizen of one of the countries listed on the ANU Targeted Diversity Source Regions website for this award; (c) receive an offer of admission to a pathway program at ANU College, followed by an offer to a subsequent program at the University; and (d) not have received the award previously. 

How to apply  

Applicants do not need to submit a separate application for the scholarship, as they will automatically be considered if they meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above. 

ANU Chancellor’s International Scholarship

About the scholarship  

In addition to the ANU Global Diversity Scholarship, ANU offers several other scholarships for international students. These include: 

  • Chancellor’s International Scholarship – Undergraduate: This scholarship is available to international students who have received an offer to study an undergraduate program at ANU. The scholarship is worth 25% of tuition fees. 
  • Chancellor’s International Scholarship – Postgraduate: This scholarship is available to international students who have received an offer to study a postgraduate program at ANU. The scholarship is worth 25% of tuition fees. 
  • Chancellor’s International Scholarship – India: This scholarship is available to Indian students who have received an offer to study an undergraduate or postgraduate program at ANU. The scholarship is worth 25% or 50% of tuition fees. 
  • Chancellor’s International Scholarship – Indonesia: This scholarship is available to Indonesian students who have received an offer to study an undergraduate or postgraduate program at ANU. The scholarship is worth 25% or 50% of tuition fees. 
  • Chancellor’s International Scholarship – Vietnam: This scholarship is available to Vietnamese students who have received an offer to study an undergraduate or postgraduate program at ANU. The scholarship is worth 25% or 50% of tuition fees. 
  • Chancellor’s International Scholarship – South East Asia: This scholarship is available to students from Southeast Asian countries (excluding Indonesia and Vietnam) who have received an offer to study an undergraduate or postgraduate program at ANU. The scholarship is worth 25% or 50% of tuition fees. 
  • Chancellor’s International Scholarship – Europe and Americas: This scholarship is available to students from European and American countries who have received an offer to study an undergraduate or postgraduate program at ANU. The scholarship is worth 25% or 50% of tuition fees. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for the ANU Excellence Scholarship, a prospective international student must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be classified as an overseas student under the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, and not hold a 995 visa, unless they are enrolling in an eligible postgraduate program. 
  • Have received an offer of admission to commence an eligible program at ANU. 
  • Meet the conditions of the program for which they have received an offer of admission, including any onshore requirements. 
  • Not have received the scholarship previously for the same level of study. 

Selection for the scholarship is based on academic merit. The qualifications submitted for admission to the university will be converted to a common scale, which will determine the applicant’s place on the merit list. Eligible applicants with multiple qualifications will be ranked according to the qualification used as the basis of admission.

Prospective students will be automatically considered for the highest-value scholarship for which they are eligible, and no separate application is required.

ANU College of Law International Excellence Scholarship

About the scholarship  

The objective of the ANU College of Law International Excellence Scholarship is to attract and support high-quality international postgraduate students to study at the ANU College of Law. 

The scholarship is valued at $20,000 per annum and up to 5 awards are available each year. Payments will be made per semester and for one year only. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for the ANU College of Law International Merit Scholarship, a prospective international student must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be an international student. 
  • Be a citizen of one of the following countries: India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Philippines, Sri Lanka or Vietnam. 
  • Have applied for admission to the Master of Laws (LLM) program at the ANU College of Law. 
  • Have an excellent academic record, as defined by a minimum GPA of 5.5 out of 7.0 (or equivalent) in their relevant undergraduate degree. 

How to apply  

There is no separate application process for the ANU College of Law International Merit Scholarship. Prospective students will be automatically considered for the scholarship if they meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the eligibility section.
