About the scholarship  

As a Deakin University alumnus, you can receive a 10% reduction in enrolment fees for any postgraduate award course that you undertake at the university. This discount will be applied to your tuition fees after your eligibility has been confirmed.  

To be eligible for the Deakin alumni discount, you must be commencing a postgraduate award course in a full-fee paying place. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for the Deakin alumni discount, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • You must be a Deakin University alumnus who has completed an award course at Deakin prior to commencing your postgraduate studies (Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Master by Coursework). 
  • You must be a commencing student in a postgraduate award course. 
  • You must be enrolled in a full-fee paying place. 

How to apply  

If you are a Deakin University alumnus, there is no need to apply for the Deakin alumni discount separately. Your eligibility for the discount will be assessed at the time of enrolment, and if you meet the criteria, the discount will be applied directly to your tuition fees. 

Deakin Vice-Chansellor International Scholarship

About the scholarship  

Deakin University acknowledges students who have demonstrated consistent academic excellence and the potential to become leaders in the university and its communities. Such students may be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program. 

This scholarship will cover 50% of your tuition fees for the entire duration of your course. 

Eligibility  

If you are a prospective international student seeking a coursework degree at Deakin University, you may be eligible for a scholarship. To be considered, you must meet the following eligibility criteria: 

  • You must be eligible to study at Deakin University. 
  • You must have achieved an average score of 85% or its equivalent in your previous studies. 
  • You must meet all of the above criteria. 

Please note that selection for the limited number of scholarships available will be competitive, and meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee success. You may need to achieve scores higher than the stated minimum requirements to be considered.

COBL Academic Merit Scholarships for Vietnam

About the scholarship  

Outstanding students from Vietnam can receive financial assistance through this scholarship, which offers a 25% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the eligible program(s) as outlined in the offer letter.  

Eligibility 

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements: 

  • Be a citizen of Vietnam and apply offshore from Vietnam (RMIT Vietnam students who have completed cross-campus studies are not eligible) 
  • Hold a valid student visa as an international student, or plan to apply for one before the program commencement 
  • Achieve an Australian equivalent GPA of 3.0 or 75% average in your most recent completed qualification 
  • Hold an existing offer letter (full or conditional offer) and commence your studies in July or October (if applicable) of the 2023 intake for Bachelor’s degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters by Coursework programs in the following areas: Accounting, Information Systems and Supply Chain; Economics, Finance and Marketing; Management; Business and Law 
  • Not be a current RMIT University student (although existing ELICOS or Foundation Studies students may be eligible)

To apply for the Deakin International Scholarship Program, you must submit the following documents:  

  • A completed application form for the scholarship program, which can be found in PDF format on Deakin University’s website. 
  • A personal statement of 300 words in length, written by you and reflecting your personal views. This statement should include an overview of why you want to study at Deakin University, any relevant extracurricular activities and work experience (whether paid or voluntary), why you believe you would make an outstanding ambassador for the university, and any other information that would support your application. 
  • Two references who can provide comments on your community engagement and/or leadership capacity. 
  • A completed application to study at Deakin, along with academic transcripts.

Deakin International Scholarship

If you are awarded the scholarship, you will receive a discount of 25% on your student contributions towards tuition fees for the entire duration of your course.

If you are an international student seeking a coursework degree at Deakin University, you may be eligible for a scholarship. To be considered, you must meet the following eligibility criteria: 

  • You must be eligible to study at Deakin University. 
  • You must have achieved an average score of 65% or its equivalent in your previous studies. 
  • You must meet all of the above criteria.

Deakin STEM Scholarship 

About the scholarship  

Deakin University in Australia is committed to supporting the next generation of innovators in achieving their potential. To this end, the Deakin Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Scholarship provides a 20% tuition fee discount for international students who are applying for undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs within the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment. 

Eligibility  

If you are a citizen of Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka or Vietnam, you may be eligible for the Deakin STEM Scholarship. To be considered for this scholarship, you must be a new student who commences their undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at Deakin before Trimester 3, 2026, and meet the entry requirements for your course, including English language proficiency. 

To remain eligible for the scholarship, you must maintain a weighted average mark (WAM) of at least 65% during each year of your studies at Deakin and have at least 8 credit points left to complete in your course (if you are a readmitting student).  

How to apply 

Students who apply for eligible courses will be automatically considered for the Deakin STEM Scholarship. They will be informed of the outcome of their scholarship assessment along with their offer to study at Deakin University. No separate scholarship application form is required. 

Deakin Latin America Scholarship 

About the scholarship  

Deakin University is offering a scholarship of 15% off the total indicative tuition fee, as stated on the offer letter, to prospective international students from Latin America with exceptional academic achievements. The scholarship is available for the normal duration of the course. 

Eligibility  

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the scholarship: 

  • Be a citizen of a Latin American country 
  • Be a prospective international student applying for a coursework degree (bachelor or masters) at Deakin University 
  • Meet the English language and academic requirements for their chosen course 
  • Not have accepted any other Deakin scholarship or bursary 
  • Must have achieved an equivalent Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65% or higher in their most recent post-secondary studies. If the applicant has not commenced any post-secondary studies, they must have completed secondary studies with an average of 65%. 

How to apply  

All eligible prospective international students who apply to study at Deakin University will automatically be assessed for the scholarship and will be notified of the outcome. No separate scholarship application is required. 

Vietnam Scholarship 

About the scholarship  

Deakin University is pleased to offer a 20% scholarship to Vietnamese citizens who are residing in Vietnam and have a track record of outstanding academic performance. This scholarship is designed to recognize individuals who have the potential to make significant contributions to the university and the communities it serves. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants:  

  • must be a citizen of Vietnam residing in Vietnam,  
  • must not have accepted any other Deakin Scholarship, and  
  • must be a new student commencing their degree up until Trimester 3, 2024.  
  • must meet the entry requirements for their course, including English language requirements, and  
  • must be studying an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at Deakin University, excluding courses offered by the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment (SEBE) and Faculty of Health. It is important to note that this scholarship does not apply to Honours, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters by Research, or PhD programs.  
  • Must meet one of the following in your most recent qualification/studies: 

For Undergraduate Entry Requirements: 

  • Completed at least one trimester at any university in Vietnam and obtained a WAM of 65% or above 
  • Completed high school in Vietnam (local or international) with a minimum of 8.0 out of 10 (GPA) 
  • Achieved an ATAR of 5 points higher than the lowest selection rank of an applicant to whom an offer was made in the selection year 
  • Achieved an International Baccalaureate (IB) score of 27 (Law related courses & Optometry – 33) 
  • Achieved UK A Levels with a score of 2 points above the entry score 

For Postgraduate Entry Requirements: 

  • Completed a bachelor’s degree or at least one trimester at the postgraduate level at any university in Vietnam with a WAM of 65% or above.

All eligible prospective international students who apply to study at Deakin University will automatically be assessed for the scholarship and will be notified of the outcome. No separate scholarship application is required. 

Destination Australia Scholarship 

About the scholarship  

This scholarship provides cash payments of up to $15,000 per year and covers the full duration of your course. 

Eligibility  

Prior to submitting their application, potential candidates should verify that they fulfill all the prerequisites. To qualify, you need to: 

  • Be an international student with a valid student visa. 
  • Be a new student who is registered full-time at Deakin University’s Warrnambool Campus (for on-campus learning) in 2023. 
  • Candidates who can display outstanding academic performance and who are willing to relocate to the Warrnambool region for the duration of their studies will be given preference.  
  • It is also necessary to continue studying at the Warrnambool Campus and undertake at least 75% of all coursework in a face-to-face format at the campus. 

How to apply  

There is no need to submit an application for this scholarship. 

It will be granted automatically to eligible candidates who meet the selection criteria. If you are an international student intending to start your studies at Deakin University’s Warrnambool Campus in 2023, you could be eligible for this scholarship. However, please note that the number of scholarships available is limited, so it is advisable to apply for your course as soon as possible to avoid missing out. 

Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s Meritorious 100% Scholarship

About the scholarship  

Deakin University values students who consistently demonstrate exceptional academic performance and have the potential to become future leaders in the university and its communities. To support such students, the university offers scholarships in various fields including STEM, creative arts, sports studies, and general studies. These scholarships cover the total indicative tuition fee stated on the Letter of Offer – that is, 100% of the tuition fee. 

In addition to the scholarship, eligible students will also have priority for on-campus accommodation (subject to availability and at their own cost). 

Eligibility  

To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must fulfill all the following selection criteria: 

  • Hold Indian citizenship and possess a valid Indian Passport. 
  • Be residing in India at the time of submitting the application. 
  • Submit the application via any Deakin Authorised agent located in India. 
  • Meet the academic eligibility requirements specified below.

About the scholarship  

Deakin University acknowledges and rewards students who have consistently demonstrated outstanding academic performance and exhibit the potential to become future leaders in the university and their communities. The university offers a scholarship that covers 100% of the total indicative tuition fee mentioned on the Letter of Offer. 

In addition, eligible students will be given priority placement for on-campus accommodation (subject to availability and at their own cost). 

Eligibility  

To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must fulfill all the following selection criteria: 

  • Must be a citizen of a South Asian country: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka 
  • Must be residing in these countries  
  • Must submit the application via a Deakin authorised agent based in a South Asian country 
  • Must meet the academic eligibility requirements specified below.

To be considered eligible for the scholarship opportunity offered by Deakin University for the courses listed below, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be a prospective international student enrolling in one of the following courses:
    • H757 Master of Public Health

International students who apply for the courses mentioned above will be automatically evaluated for the scholarship, and they will receive notification of the outcome. There is no requirement to submit a separate application for the scholarship. 

Warrnambool Campus International Bursary 

About the scholarship  

Prospective international students who plan to study at Deakin’s Warrnambool Campus can receive a 20% scholarship towards their tuition fees when enrolling in a Bachelor of Education (Primary), Bachelor of Environmental Science (Marine Biology), Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery or a Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Psychological Science at Deakin University. 

Eligibility  

If you are an on-campus international student who has applied to study a Bachelor of Education (Primary), Bachelor of Environmental Science (Marine Biology), Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery, or a Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Psychological Science at Deakin’s Warrnambool Campus, you may be eligible for a scholarship towards your tuition fees.  

To be eligible, you must have met the English and academic requirements for entry into your selected course and not have accepted any other Deakin scholarship or bursary.  

How to apply  

International students who apply for the courses mentioned above will be automatically evaluated for the scholarship, and they will receive notification of the outcome. There is no requirement to submit a separate application for the scholarship.
