Introduction
The University of Queensland (UQ) is excited to announce the continuation of four scholarship schemes to support high achieving international students who are commencing their studies at UQ in 2023.
UQ International Excellence Scholarship 2023
The UQ International Excellence Scholarship provides assistance with tuition fees for high achieving international students commencing a relevant program at UQ in 2023. The value of the scholarship is a 25% reduction in tuition fees per year with a maximum duration of four years or the duration of the program where it is less than four years. There are 50 available per semester.
All eligible applicants will be considered automatically based on merit for this scholarship if they have received an offer for a relevant program that commences in Semesters 1 or 2, 2023. For more information about this scholarship, visit the UQ International Excellence Scholarship webpage.
UQ International High Achievers Scholarship 2023
The UQ International High Achievers Scholarship provides assistance with tuition fees for high achieving offshore students who are passport holders of Hong Kong (SAR), India, Indonesia, Japan, Macau (SAR), Malaysia, Philippines, Republic of Korea (South Korea), Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, and are commencing a relevant program at UQ in 2023. The value of the scholarship is a one-off tuition fee reduction of A$10,000 which will be split into two A$5,000 amounts and applied across the first two semesters of the program. There are 150 available per semester.
All eligible applicants will be considered automatically based on merit for this scholarship if they have received an offer for a relevant program that commences in Semester 1 or 2, 2023. Students with conditional offers must satisfy all conditions as stipulated for this scholarship to take effect. UQ International Onshore Merit Scholarship
The UQ International Onshore Merit Scholarship provides assistance with tuition fees for high achieving international students whose most recent qualifications are from Australia, and are commencing a relevant program at UQ in 2023. The value of the scholarship is a one-off tuition fee reduction of A$10,000 which will be split into two A$5,000 amounts and applied across the first two semesters of the program. There are 150 available per semester.
NOTE: The UQ International Onshore Merit Scholarship for UQ College Foundation package students has been reduced to A$5,000 in 2023 to allow for an increased number of scholarship recipients.
All eligible applicants will be considered automatically based on merit for this scholarship if they have received an offer for a relevant program that commences in Semester 1 or 2, 2023. Students with conditional offers must satisfy all conditions as stipulated for this scholarship to take effect. UQ Lifelong Learner Scheme
UQ Lifelong Learner Scheme provides assistance with tuition fees for UQ alumni commencing a relevant program at UQ in 2023. The value of the scheme is a 10% reduction in tuition fees per year with a maximum duration of four years or the duration of the program where it is less than four years. There are 150 available per semester.
NOTE: The UQ Lifelong Learner Scheme is for UQ alumni who have previously completed at least two semesters (totalling 16 units) of full-time study at UQ.
All eligible applicants will be considered automatically if they meet the criteria and have received an offer for a relevant program that commences in Semesters 1 or 2, 2023. International Scholarship 2023 – Master of Pharmaceutical Industry Practice
About the award
The Master of Pharmaceutical Industry Practice Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for high achieving international students. Scholars will receive a $5,000 – $10,000 tuition fee scholarship.
The final amount awarded to the successful applicants will be at the discretion of the selection committee. More information can be found online at scholarships.uq.edu.au
Eligibility
- International students who have received an unconditional offer to study the Master of Pharmaceutical Industry Practice at UQ in 2023
- Criteria is based on academic excellence, and high achieving students are encouraged to apply
- Students must not simultaneously hold another scholarship.

2023 Scholarship in Quantitative Biology – School of Biological Sciences
About the scholarship:
This scholarship is an exciting opportunity for high achieving international students who commence postgraduate coursework in Agriculture and animal sciences, or Environment, or Science and mathematics in School of Biological Sciences. Scholars will receive a $10,000 scholarship for 1 year.
Eligibility
You’re eligible if you:
- have received an unconditional offer to study the 24 or 32 unit Master of Quantitative Biology program full-time, and you’re either a:
- newly commencing student in the 24 unit Master of Quantitative Biology
- current student who has successfully completed the first semester of the 32 unit Master of Quantitative Biology.
You’re not eligible if you’ve already completed a related postgraduate degree.
