International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA) Scholarship 2025
About the Scholarship
The International Aviation Women’s Association (IAWA) Scholarship is designed to support women pursuing careers in aviation and aerospace. IAWA is a global non-profit association with members in 38 countries, representing 257 major aviation companies and authorities. This scholarship aims to promote the advancement of women in the industry by providing financial assistance and networking opportunities.
Eligible Courses
Applicants must be enrolled in one of the following aviation-related courses at Swinburne University of Technology:
- Bachelor of Aviation
- Bachelor of Aviation/Bachelor of Business
- Bachelor of Aviation Management
- Bachelor of Aviation Management/Bachelor of Business
- Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Aviation Management
- Master of Aviation
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Identify as female.
- Be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, permanent humanitarian visa holder, or international student.
- Be commencing or continuing studies at Swinburne in Semester 1, 2025.
- Be enrolled full-time in an eligible course.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must submit a personal statement (max. 2 pages) or a short video (1-3 minutes) answering the following:
- Why is IAWA’s mission and its commitment to “Connect, Inspire, and Lead” important to you?
- Explain your leadership experiences and what you’ve learned from them (e.g., through clubs, work, volunteering).
- What do you expect to gain from being an IAWA scholarship recipient, beyond financial support?
Supporting Documents
- Written Reference: Shortlisted applicants must submit a reference from a teacher, community leader, or employer within 5 days of request.
- Academic Transcript: Provide your ATAR certificate or transcripts of any previous study.
- Samples of Work: Submit writing samples, projects, or videos that demonstrate your technical skills and personality.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview with Swinburne representatives.
Scholarship Value
- USD $5,000
- One-year free scholar membership with IAWA
- Fully funded attendance at the IAWA annual conference

The Steve Ashton Scholarship for the Architectural Profession (SASAP) supports architects in their professional development by providing funding for business and management training. Established in honor of Steve Ashton, co-founder of Ashton Raggatt McDougall (ARM Architecture), the scholarship aims to help career architects enhance their business and leadership skills.
Eligible Courses
Applicants must be enrolled in one of the following Vocational Education or Postgraduate programs at Swinburne University:

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or international student.
- Hold a degree in Architecture (must provide a transcript).
- Be enrolled full-time or part-time in an eligible course.
- Be enrolled on-campus or online.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must submit a written statement or a short video (max. 2 minutes) addressing:
- Professional achievements to date.
- Contributions to the architectural community.
- Leadership examples.
- How the scholarship will help them create a better world.
Supporting Documents
- CV (max. 2 pages).
- Membership with the Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA) is desirable but not essential.
Scholarship Value
- Up to AUD $30,000 per year (full-time students).
- Up to AUD $15,000 per year (part-time students).
- Breakdown by course level:
- Diploma: up to AUD $10,000
- Graduate Certificate: up to AUD $15,000
- Graduate Diploma: up to AUD $22,500
- Master’s by Coursework: up to AUD $30,000

Swinburne CPA Australia Member Scholarship
About the Scholarship
The Swinburne CPA Australia Member Scholarship provides a 15% tuition fee discount for CPA Australia members pursuing postgraduate studies in Financial Planning at Swinburne University.

Tuition Fee Scholarship
About the Scholarship
The Tuition Fee Scholarship supports international research students pursuing higher degrees at Swinburne University. It covers the full tuition fee for the duration of the research program.
Eligible Courses
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
- Doctor of Psychology
- Master by Research
Eligibility Criteria
- Scholarships are considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Applicants must secure support from their Principal Supervisor.
- The Principal Supervisor must submit the application with justification.
Scholarship Conditions
- Covers tuition fees only.
- Cannot be transferred to another person.
- Not refundable or convertible to cash.
- Students must commence studies in the awarded period.
Scholarship Value
- Up to 4 years (full-time) for PhD students.
- Up to 2 years for Master by Research students.
