Destination Australia Scholarship

About the Scholarship
The Destination Australia Scholarship has been established under the Australian Government’s Destination Australia Program. Its purpose is to attract and support international students to study in regional Australia. The program aims to enhance the growth of regional Australian tertiary education providers while offering students a high-quality learning experience. The scholarship provides $15,000 per annum, with payments made in two instalments per year after the census date of each semester.

Eligibility
Applicants must:

  • Be commencing an approved undergraduate degree at a regional campus of Flinders University.
  • Maintain ongoing residency in a regional area, as defined by the 2016 Australian Statistical Geography Standard Remoteness Structure.
  • Be enrolled full-time.

Application Deadlines

  • Opening Date: January 1, 2025
  • Closing Date: March 19, 2025

How to Apply

  1. Submit an Application: Apply for admission to an eligible undergraduate program at a regional campus of Flinders University.
  2. Complete the Scholarship Application: Access and complete the Destination Australia Scholarship application form on the Flinders University scholarships portal.
  3. Provide Supporting Documents: Include any required documentation, such as proof of residency and academic transcripts.
  4. Submit Before the Deadline: Ensure your application and all documents are submitted by March 19, 2025.

Ellucian Foundation PATH Scholarship

About the Scholarship
The Progress, Accomplishment, Thriving, Hope (PATH) Scholarship was established at Flinders University in 2024 with support from the Ellucian Foundation. This scholarship aims to foster the growth of future STEM leaders by providing financial assistance to students. It recognizes those who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance and a strong interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), particularly in nuclear science. Up to 10 scholarships are awarded each year, with a value of $2,000 per annum, paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.

Eligibility
Applicants must:

  • Be in their second or third year of a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree at Flinders University.
  • Be enrolled full-time.
  • Be in receipt of means-tested Centrelink benefits or demonstrate financial need.

Preference will be given to students majoring in nuclear engineering in the following courses:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) Honours
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) Honours
  • Bachelor of Science (Physics)
  • Bachelor of Science (Chemical Sciences)

  3. Submit the Application: Submit the completed application and supporting documents through the Flinders University scholarships portal before March 19, 2025.

NOTE: There are up to 6 more scholarships available based on the major you undertake in your bachelor’s or master’s degree, your study location, and your HDR research topics.
