International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship

About the scholarship 

  • Value at 25% of tuition fee  
  • Duration: valid for your whole degree 
  • Level of study: available for both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs 

Eligibility 

  • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand. 
  • Have a minimum GPA in previous studies of 5.5 or above on a 7 point scale or equivalent.  
  • Satisfy all academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program. 
  • Be a full-time student  

Terms and Conditions  

  • Students must be enrolled full-time and making progress in their studies that meets their student visa requirements to receive and maintain the scholarship, and/or meet the requirements of their program of study, unless credit prevents full-time enrolment. 
  • To maintain scholarship eligibility, students must pass all the requirements for each trimester of studies and successfully progress on to enrol in the next trimester. A minimum cumulative GPA of 5.5 on a 7.0 point grading scale must be maintained to qualify for each tuition fee deduction in the following trimester of enrolment.  
  • Students must remain enrolled in the program for which the scholarship offer was made, which is stated on the Letter of Offer issued by Griffith International Admissions. 
  • Scholarship recipients who are approved for an internal transfer must meet the full-time enrolment requirements, minimum cumulative GPA and pass all prior course requirements in order to retain their scholarship. 
  • Should a student withdraw or cancel for any reason, the scholarship amount is non-refundable.

  • When you submit your study application to Griffith University, your eligibility for this scholarship will be automatically assessed by the university. However, please note that this scholarship is highly competitive, so it is advisable to prepare your application and supporting documents well in advance.

Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship

About the scholarship 

  • Value at 50% of tuition fee  
  • Duration: valid for your whole degree 
  • Level of study: available for both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs 

Eligibility 

  • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand. 
  • Have a minimum GPA in previous studies of 6.0 or above on a 7 point scale or equivalent.  
  • Satisfy all academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program. 
  • Be a full-time student  

How to apply 

  • First, you need to apply for an undergraduate or postgraduate program at GU.  
  • After you get a Letter of Offer for your study, you will need to apply for this scholarship by the due date. 
  • To apply for this scholarship, you must submit your academic records and a personal statement clarifying why you are best fit for the scholarship.

GELI Direct Entry Program Scholarship

About the scholarship 

GELI Direct Entry Program is designed for international students aiming to meet the English language proficiency requirements for entry into Griffith University’s undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs. If you have completed this program with outstanding results, you will have a chance to get a AUD1,000.  

Eligibility 

  • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand. 
  • Have completed the Direct Entry Program at Griffith English Language Institution (GELI)  
  • Satisfy all academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program. 
  • Be a full-time student
