About the scholarship
The scholarship offers a 50% tuition fee waiver per session for the entire duration of the degree, up to a maximum of three years. However, it does not cover expenses related to living, accommodation, transportation, overseas student health cover, or any other study-related expenses.
Duration: The scholarship is valid for a maximum of three years.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Be an international student, and not hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency. If the student’s visa status changes to any of these during the study period, the scholarship will be discontinued.
- Commence a new program of study in 2025.
- Have received an offer of admission to Western Sydney University.
- Meet the academic requirements for the scholarship, which include obtaining a minimum ATAR of 90 or an equivalent score in a completed higher secondary study.
- Meet all other admission requirements and accept their admission offer by the acceptance deadline.
How to apply
Applicants do not need to submit a separate application for the scholarship. All new coursework applications to the university will be automatically considered for the scholarship. A panel of officers from the university will carry out short-listing twice a year.
Shortlisted candidates will be requested to provide a statement supporting their application. The statement should explain how they believe the scholarship will assist them in their studies and future career.
Western Sydney International Scholarships - Undergraduate
About the scholarship
The scholarship offers two options for contribution towards tuition fees:
- A $6,000 per year contribution towards tuition fees for up to 240 credit points or a maximum of three years.
- A $3,000 per year contribution towards tuition fees for up to 240 credit points or a maximum of three years.
All successful applicants will receive a minimum scholarship valued at $3,000. However, the $6,000 value will only be awarded based on the candidate’s level of academic achievement in previous studies.
Eligibility
Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement in a completed Year 12 qualification or an equivalent qualification recognized by Western Sydney University for admission.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an international student, and not hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency. If the student’s visa status changes to any of these during the study period, the scholarship will be discontinued.
- Commence a new undergraduate program of study for the first time in 2025.
- Be applying to study in a CRICOS registered undergraduate degree program.
- Meet the academic eligibility requirements for either the $6,000 or $3,000 multi-year scholarship.
- Meet all other admission requirements and accept their admission offer.
How to apply
There is no need to submit a separate application for the scholarship. All new coursework applications for admission will be automatically considered for a scholarship.

About the scholarship
The scholarship provides a 50% tuition fee waiver per session for full-time enrolment throughout the duration of the degree, up to a maximum of two years.
Please note that the scholarship only covers tuition fees, and does not include expenses associated with living, accommodation, transportation, overseas student health cover, or any other study-related costs.

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Be an international student, and not hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency. If the student’s visa status changes to any of these during the study period, the scholarship will be discontinued.

- Meet the academic eligibility requirements for the scholarship, which is a minimum GPA of 5.95 out of 7.0 or equivalent in a completed higher secondary study.

Western Sydney International Scholarships – Postgraduate
About the scholarship
For the following postgraduate programs, successful applicants who meet the minimum academic requirements will receive a $6,000 per year contribution towards tuition fees for up to a maximum of two years:
- 1714 Master of Teaching (Secondary)
- 1783 Master of Teaching (Birth – 5 Years/Birth – 12 Years)
- 1792 Master of Social Work (Qualifying)
- 2813 Master of Property Investment and Development
- 2816 Master of Business Analytics
- 3693 Master of Engineering
- 3698 Master of Information and Communications Technology (Advanced)
- 3699 Master of Information and Communications Technology
- 3735 Master of Data Science
- 3749 Master of Science
- 3752 Master of Project Management
- 3765 Master of Artificial Intelligence
- 4698 Master of Health Science
- 4702 Master of Public Health
- Juris Doctor
For other postgraduate programs not listed above, the value of the scholarship will be determined by the level of academic achievement in previous studies and will be either a $6,000 per year contribution towards tuition fees for up to a maximum of two years, or a $3,000 per year contribution towards tuition fees for up to a maximum of two years. The scholarship will be applied to full-time enrollment in the postgraduate program and will not exceed two years.
Eligibility
The awards are based on academic merit and are open to international students who are not Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Australia. If the student’s status changes during the study period, the scholarship will be discontinued.
To be considered for the award, applicants must have completed their most recent tertiary qualification recognized by Western Sydney University and meet the academic eligibility requirements for either of the multi-year scholarships. Additionally, applicants must satisfy all other admission requirements and accept their admission offer. The program of study must be commenced in 2025 for the first time.
How to apply
The university will automatically consider all new coursework applications for a scholarship. If a student is successful, they will receive the scholarship offer in their Offer of Admission letter.
