GCE A Level and International Baccalaureate (IB) Scholarship
About the scholarship
UTS has created this scholarship to attract high-achieving international students who are completing the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma qualification and plan to enroll in an undergraduate program at UTS in Sydney.
- Value: 50% of tuition fee of the whole duration of study
Eligibility
In order to be considered for the Scholarship, applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Must not be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident and must be an international student.
- Must start full-time studies on the Sydney campus, which involves face-to-face and/or online (remote) learning applicable to all degrees, except for online and distance mode degrees.
- Must have completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma no more than a year before starting at UTS, and should have been admitted to UTS based on this qualification.
- Must satisfy the UTS admission criteria for the selected undergraduate degree program.
- Must achieve an aggregate score, including bonus and penalty points, of 28 or above in their IB final grades, or 33 or above in their International Baccalaureate predicted grades when the scholarship decision is made.
- To be eligible, all applicants must use the UTS online Scholarships application form to apply.
Selection process
Selection for the Scholarship will be based on academic merit as determined by the final results or predicted results of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.
In cases where multiple applicants have the same International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma results, additional consideration will be given to responses to the following questions:
- How committed are you to using your UTS degree to make a positive contribution to your home society/country, as demonstrated in your scholarship application?
- What are your personal experiences and accomplishments so far, including community service, innovation, or entrepreneurship, among other things?

Academic Excellence International Scholarship
About the scholarship
This scholarship aims to encourage top-performing international students to enroll in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney. The scholarship values at 30% tuition fees of the whole course.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Scholarship, the applicant must fulfill the following requirements:
- Must be an international student, not holding citizenship or permanent residency in Australia or New Zealand;
- Should have completed an Australian Year 12 or a UTS recognised high school qualification equivalent to an Australian Year 12 outside Australia and have been admitted to UTS based on this credential;
- If you are applying for a postgraduate program, you must have completed a UTS recognised tertiary qualification;
- Must meet the admission criteria for the chosen UTS undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program;
- Must commence full-time study at UTS on-campus in Sydney, including face-to-face and/or online (remote) learning for all degrees except online degrees and distance mode degrees;
- Must not be pursuing a UTS online or distance mode degree program.
How to apply
All international students who apply for an undergraduate or postgraduate program at UTS in Sydney will be automatically considered for the Scholarship by UTS International. There is no need to submit a separate scholarship application or additional documents other than what is required for the coursework application.
UTS College to UTS Pathways Scholarship
About the scholarship
The scholarship is designed to recognise exceptional performance of international students who have completed UTS College Pathway Program, and are enrolling in an undergraduate program at UTS. Recipients are expected to exemplify UTS’s core values of excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship, and social justice. The scholarship covers 50% of UTS tuition fees.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or permanent resident of Australia) throughout their studies at UTS.
- Must have completed the UTS Diploma Studies program at UTS College in Sydney, with a minimum overall GPA of 6.0 or above.
- Must meet all admission requirements for the chosen UTS undergraduate program.
- Must commence full-time, on-campus studies (in Sydney) in a UTS undergraduate program

UTS Vice-Chancellor’s International Undergraduate Scholarship
About the scholarship
The aim of this scholarship is to provide financial support to outstanding international students who are commencing their undergraduate studies at UTS in Sydney. The scholarship is awarded to those who demonstrate the university’s core values and show dedication to excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship, and social justice.
The scholarship covers the full cost of UTS tuition fees and is valid for the standard duration of the student’s UTS course.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Scholarship, the applicant must satisfy the following requirements:
- Be an international student, not holding Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency;
- Meet the admission criteria for the selected course by the scholarship application deadline;
- Begin full-time studies on campus in Sydney, including in-person and/or online learning, except for online or distance mode degrees;
- Have completed high school studies comparable to an Australian Year 12 outside of Australia no more than three years before commencing at UTS and be admitted to UTS based on this qualification;
- Achieve an overall average of 85%, where the pass mark is 50%, or equivalent in a UTS recognized high school qualification;
- Submit an application for the scholarship using the UTS online Scholarships Application form.
Selection Process
The Scholarship recipient will be selected based on their academic merit in the qualification used as the basis for admission into the chosen UTS Bachelor degree program, as well as their answers to the questions asked in the UTS online scholarship application. The highest-ranked applicant will be awarded the Scholarship.

Postgraduate Academic Excellence International Scholarship
About the scholarship
This scholarship aims to attract high-achieving commencing international students who are enrolling in a postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney. The scholarship offers a value of 30% of UTS tuition fees, and its duration is equivalent to the standard duration of the course.
Eligibility
To be considered for the Scholarship, the applicant must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Should be an international student and not hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or permanent residency in Australia, throughout the duration of the Scholarship.
- Must satisfy all the admission requirements of the chosen Master’s by coursework program.
- Must commence full-time on-campus studies at UTS.
How to apply
Consideration for the Scholarship for high-achieving commencing international students in a postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney will be done automatically by UTS International. No additional scholarship application or documentation is needed apart from what is already required for the coursework application.
UTS Vice-Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Coursework Scholarship
About the scholarship
The aim of this Scholarship is to attract high-achieving international students who are commencing a postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney. The scholarship will be awarded to students who demonstrate a commitment to the University’s core values and have a record of excellence in their academic pursuits, as well as in innovation, entrepreneurship, and social justice.
The Scholarship covers the full amount of UTS tuition fees and is tenable for the standard duration of the UTS postgraduate coursework program.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or permanent resident of Australia).
- Meet all the admission criteria for the selected postgraduate coursework program by the scholarship application’s closing date.
- Begin full-time studies on campus (Sydney), including face-to-face and/or online (remote) learning. However, online degrees and distance mode degrees are exempted from this requirement.
- Have completed a Bachelor’s degree that is comparable to an Australian Bachelor’s degree no more than three (3) years before commencing at UTS, and be admitted to UTS based on this qualification.
- Have an overall average of 90%, where the pass mark is 50% or equivalent, in a UTS recognized Bachelor’s qualification.
Selection Process
The Scholarship recipient will be selected based on their academic merit in the academic qualification that was used as the basis for admission into the chosen UTS postgraduate coursework program. Additionally, the applicant’s answers to questions posed in the UTS online scholarship application will also be considered in the selection process. The applicant with the highest ranking will be awarded the Scholarship.
UTS Academic Merit International Scholarship
About the scholarship
The Scholarship aims to encourage international students to enroll in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UTS. The scholarship covers 20% of the UTS tuition fees for eligible students commencing in 2025 or 15% of the UTS tuition fees for eligible students commencing in 2026 intakes.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
- Must not be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
- Must meet all admission criteria for the chosen coursework program;
- Must commence full-time studies on campus at UTS.
- Must not be a citizen of a South Asia country
How to apply
All international students applying for a Undergraduate or Master degree by coursework program at UTS in Sydney will be automatically considered for this Scholarship by UTS International. No additional documentation or separate scholarship application is required beyond what is needed for the coursework application.
